Kaiser rolls: now known as Kaiserbrötchen.

This traditional bread roll, with its characteristic star-shaped grooves on top, forms an essential part of our range. The installation of the new König ovens from Austria in combination with exclusive German flour, ingredients and baking methods has resulted in a new name for these rolls: Kaiserbrötchen. They are available in various sizes weighing between 30 and 80 grams, with a wide variety of decorations (e.g. sesame seeds, poppy seeds, wholegrains, cheese granules).

French bread is often confused with baguettes.

stok-baquettesFrench bread is often confused with baguettes, which is not surprising, since baguette is the French word for “stick”. But this bread does not owe its name to its appearance. In the old days, a long piece of dough was wrapped around a stick and baked over a fire. The diagonal grooves in today’s French bread are a reminder of how the bread used to look.

We bake French bread in sizes weighing between 220 to 280 grams, depending on the demand. Bakeries in France sell flutes or parisiens, which are twice as wide and slightly heavier than the baguettes that we now call French bread. These are available in sizes weighing between 400 and 440 grams.

We use traditional baking methods from France for our range of classic French rolls, in which the French Mecatherm baking equipment guarantees sophisticated kneading, rising and baking processes. Long resting and rising times are essential. We use French flour to make bake off French rolls that come out of your oven with a thin crispy crust and a soft crumb inside.

We can supply you with crispy crunchy French-style rolls at any moment of the day. Our French rolls are available in white, wheat and wholegrain.
